Lilly Ghalichi obsessed!

The new addition to Bravo's Shahs of Sunset reality series, Lilly Ghalichi, made quite an impression upon the cast and viewers. I for one am obsessed with her!

Named the 'Persian Barbie', she balances being an licensed attorney in the state of California and picking which Hermes bag to wear every day very well. What do I find the most appealing? The fact that she has the honours, the intelligence and the brains for Law but has no shame in revealing her love of fashion and has used it to create a successful business!

Here's Reza explaining his love for Lilly:

Lilly Ghalichi has part ownership in Have Faith Swimgerie, an innovative swimwear line which combines... you guessed it... swimwear AND lingerie. Clever right? It's the sexiest swimwear line on the market.

The line is a huge hit, with Joanna Krupa being one of many models. Check out the line at http://www.havefaith.com/.

In the latest episode of Shahs, we can clearly see that Lilly misses no opportunity to take high-glam to the max, with her outrageously funny comments. Take when she grabbed her Hermes from Asa Soltan in the latest Cabo episode and exclaimed "sorry, I don't want it to get sweaty"... I died.

Lilly's love for Michael Costello is to die for. She's a walking advertisement! When she appeared on WWHL with Andy Cohen in that emerald gown with a plunge neckline... OMG. I don't think anyone's ever dressed up that well for the show! Although, I have to say... MJ did look good in that one-piece and red lip.

Golden Globes Best Dressed 2013

This year, the Golden Globes had several breathtakingly amazing dresses and some spectacularly bad disasters. It's always great to see what will come out on the red carpet each year.

By far, the best dressed for me was Jennifer Lawrence in this gorgeous Dior Couture strapless gown.  It was verrry Golden Globes. The silver belt cinches her waist just right whilst the dress speaks volumes by itself. The sheen of it was elegant and her simple hair, makeup and box clutch were all perfect accompaniments.
Taylor Swift really knows how to turn it up a notch at red carpets. Donna Karen Atelier in  a dark plum shade with that long trail... YES.
Oscar de la Renta = seal of approval. I don't need to comment on this much. Jessica Alba looks radiant as ever, the peach colour compliments her olive skin tone, the bodycon fit is gorgeous to show off her curves. Damn, this is from the pre-Aut/Wint 2013/14 collection... can't wait to see it.
I thought Adele looked so sophisticated in this black Burberry gown. It does wonders for her. I don't think anyone wears black better than her these days!
I'm so used to viewing Megan Fox in a "sexy" light that it was nice to see her in this Dolce and Gabbana  lace dress. The lightly curled hair to one side works with this too.
Yesss Eva Longoria, you work that Angelina Jolie look! This is Emilio Pucci and this is one of my favourites of the night. She hasn't been mentioned too much in the best dressed lists for the GGs but I thought this was divine! The plunge neckline has been seen almost everywhere but she pulls it off tastefully with the leg showing, which by the way are killer. Black & lace has always been a winning combination for me and the chiffon trail at the back adds something different to a normal bodycon fit.

Ah, Sofia Vergara. We've seen this sweetheart neckline, floor-length, fitted gown on her many times. Have I grown tired of it? Absolutely not. Her body is 100% & she is one of few that can pull this look off so well without looking forced or tacky. The straight hair and flawless skin do wonders for her. I think she's putting quite a few of the you the actresses to shame! She's wearing Michael Cinco... I'll have to look that one up.

Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2013

If anyone's going to take a different approach to Pre-Fall, it's Proenza Schouler.

Set against a pure white background, 16 looks were produced. All of which, very (and I hate to overuse this term) "edgy", unusual and wild. However, not so incredibly OTT that they become unwearable.

The collection starts with a white and black ensemble  The graphic trousers paired with the white jacket  is a little  too much white for me, yet will appeal to thousands.

A staple black leather jacket is necessary in every girl's wardrobe. Schouler have provided exactly that. No studs, spikes etc. just a plain basic jacket to throw over everything, yet the spice is thrown back in with the "torn" skirt.

Then we see something truly magnificent. It almost seems as though the collection starts off with  basic colours presented in a edgy yet fairly simple way and then we see these metallics pop out of nowhere. The jacket is like staring at artwork. It is infused with this shimmery pattern of blue and is finished off with the black. The unusual design of it is appealing, with the diagonal structure.

Another gorgeous, fiery metallic. The gold skirt is truly pretty and is definitely paired best with a  plain black and white  jumper, though I'm not a fan of turtleneck.

BCGB Max Azria Pre-Fall 2013

From the last S/S collection I reviewed, BCGB Max Azria seemed very unique with their leather harnesses on the runway. This collection is a little more simple and feminine, veering towards a 40s influence.

Simple, yet elegant. White ruffles along the neckline a black mid-length skirt.

Love this jumpsuit with the wide-hem trousers. The colour is a beautiful shade of  powder blue  and I love the cinched in waist to add some definition.

This is stunning. My favourite look. A modern, chic leather skater skirt, seen everywhere this season, paired with a cream top and black ruffles along the shoulders. The white belt really makes this look. In my opinion, this is the perfect twist to a typical, feminine evening look.

This is really something. Again, mesh has been absolutely HUGE recently so BCGB have  incorporated it  into a top with a plunging, daring neckline. This is, again, paired with flared trousers but the colours here are so gorgeous. The look is sophisticated and edgy at the same time. Statement looks have been nailed in this collection.

Similar to my favourite look of this collection, a coral satin blouse has been paired with a belted cream  skater skirt. What does it for me is the minor gold detailing on the blouse. I'd buy this in an instant.

Airy and feminine. Another mid-length dress here with vertical stripes and a lacy mesh to accompany it. The transition between the black and the grey is really nice.

Rihanna flaunts Wang on X Factor

Quite literally 'Fresh Off The Runway', Rihanna performed Stay & We Found Love on tonight's X Factor wearing Wang's cut-out ensemble from the S/S 2013 collection.

I loved the collection, reviewing it as "modern, "innovative" and rating it a 10/10.

The original runway look.

Rihanna working the look on the X Factor. I love how the cream colour contrasts with her skin so beautifully.

Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2013 Review

Recently announced the new creative director of Balenciaga, Wang showed his Pre-Fall 2013 collection in New York. There are mixed reviews of his new position, which is a different story altogether but I am personally excited to see what he'll bring to the table... he might be able to give Balenciaga an extra edgy side to couture unlike anything we've ever seen before. In spite of this, Wang showed 20 pieces which showed his confidence in “blur(ring) the distinction between the individual garment piece.” The collection oozed a unisex look with clean tailoring and simplicity above everything.

The colour palette was black, grey and white. Similar to what we saw with his S/S RTW 2013 collection, which I reviewed extremely positively.

Slick and suave. Perfect example of the "unisex" concept. The woman's suit is vamped up with a leather black underlay.

One of my favourites. It's so unique. The leather braces are gorgeous and the square backpack case is so original. The collar is cute and adds that tiny bit of femininity the look needs.

In black and white, this dress works. It works because it's SIMPLE. Simple draping of the fabric over the shoulder and a typical Wang leather belt. Office-to-dinner look much?

Wang has always been about bringing streetwear to catwalk standards. This grey sweatshirt and trouser combination proves just that. The look appears a bit crumpled, which I do like as it adds to this idea that everything doesn't have to be 100% polished. A confident woman can look good in anything, even casual looks like this. It's jazzed up with a clutch, although this is plain white to add to the minimalist look.

My favourite look of the collection. This is what Wang was trying to do... blur the lines. The top could be a jacket or a vest, no-one knows. The diagonal side zip is just too cute and this is exactly what makes me excited about the future of office-wear.
