Chanel 2013 Resort Collection- MY opinion

Ready-to-wear resort collections have been around for many years. The original concept of a resort or cruise collection is to provide clothing for affluent customers who go away on holiday during the winter months to exotic destinations. Therefore, fashion houses created these collections to provide new, exclusive and stylish clothing which would work for their holidays as they would have to wear the previous S/S collection and who would do that?

Many have criticized the collection for being unwearable, which is quite true, but I can't help but like the fact that Chanel have adapted denim, lace and frills in one adorable collection. The models sported dresses with creepers and trainers, and although they didn't go with all the outfits, I think Karl Lagerfeld deserves some credit for taking such a brave move. Oh, and the beautiful setting! Versailles was the perfect choice for this collection to be debuted with its larger-than-life, elegant waterfalls.

Karl discusses his inspiration for this collection

I mean, I wasn't a fan of ALL the looks, but there were a few that I thought were just uber-adorable!

Nikki Lipstick- Clothing for bad bitches...

On discovering Nikki Lipstick's clothes, I loved the concept behind her and her styles, I mean... they're daring, bold and very "fuck you"...

Famous for her "pasties" (stickers for your boobs), she also has a lookbook and an impressive website and Tumblr to check out.

What I like is there's so many elements to her clothes... there's grunge, there's the trash-whore-fabulous-bitch and then there's the acid girl, the sweet MLP girl with a twist... the list goes on...

It's inspiring to see clothes like this which give confidence to women and from a photography point of view, the photos are amazinggg!

My personal favourite!

Iggy Azalea... Fashion Leader or Follower?

Personally, I had no idea who Iggy Azalea was until I saw her in Steve Aoki's music video "Beat Down". I had heard of her before and I heard her being compared to Kreayshawn, but I didn't have a clue what she was about. Then I heard her and... I quite like her... I think? There's something unique about her. I always love a fierce female rapper I guess.

Her May 2012 Complex shoot stood out for me, she's pretty with long, blonde hair but she has a rough edge to her style.

This outfit is CUTE! Skin tight leggings and bralet but it doesn't look too hooker on her :O
I think she'll be one to watch this year going into 2013, after all "it's the year of the woman" according to her.

Kanye throws out Kim's wardrobe!

In the latest episode of KUWTK, Kanye West brings his stylist to give Kim's wardrobe a complete new makeover. By that, we mean... throw out nearly everything and bring in new stuff.

Controlling or generous? Hmm... well to be honest, I think he was coming from a good place, seeing as he is a designer now. "Kanye's definitely inspired me to wanna like, be a little bit more of an individual" she claims on the show.

H&M x Maison Martin Margiela - FIRST LOOK

H&M is collaborating with Martin Margiela to produce an A/W 12 collection which will release on November the 15th. Excited? Well here's a first look at one of the dresses from a French Elle shoot.

The red asymmetrical dress is the first item to be leaked from the collection so far. On trend, it's no wonder Margiela has celebrity fans such as Kanye West... cough, "what's that jacket, Margiela?" ring any bells?
