Rachel Zoe- S/S 2013- Boho & Glamorous

Before seeing this collection, I'd heard many positive things about Rachel Zoe but I never managed to check out what she was about and what her style was like. After this show, I can confidently say she may become one of my favourite designers, I loved so much of what came down the runway.

A popular colour contrast, black and white looks were seen and in my opinion, they were constructed well together. Take this shift dress, the colour blocking works because it's not overdone and it can work well for a simple evening look.

I love this look. The long, open black blazer teamed with a short, white dress and black buttons is so effortless. Along with the models' simple makeup and blonde hair, the elements of boho definitely come together in this collection.

Here, the tight, waist-cinching belt helps define a small figure and the small gold metal chain detailing is just enough to add some glamour.

The 'IT Girl' look? A gold, sequin top teamed with green shorts and strappy heels. The sunglasses with a pointed rim are the perfect touch. What I was a little surprised with is how much I loved the bags I saw. I would buy practically all of these slouchy shoulder bags.

A sequin, indigo dress teamed with an oversize black bag.

A turquoise maxi dress is paired with a sunbrero hat, a tasseled gold necklace and a large, cream shoulder bag. A part of Style.com's interview read: "When a model walks down the runway in a floppy hat, sunglasses, and gold lariat, carrying an oversize bag slung across her body, it's easy to overlook the clothes." Personally, I don't think this collection is too overcomplicated, I like looking at several elements in one look, but I can see why people may want the hat removed, say in this look.

I think this pastel pink dress is gorgeous and surprisingly, I think the fanny pack bag actually works here. The way it's been reinvented could see a comeback in 2013.

An off-the-shoulder top with a sequinned maxi skirt. Again, here, I think Rachel Zoe has understood where to leave out the accessories and bags, the look is enough as it is and the lack of other elements is a big advantage.

Vera Wang S/S 2013- Gemstone Colours

The Vera Wang collection had models arrayed in a series of rich, gemstone colours.

The first few looks were in all-white but then we saw shades of blue topaz, emerald, amethyst as well as black, gold and yellow.

Here we have a look seen quite regularly recently, a long tunic top with 3/4 length trousers.

The blue topaz looks start appearing and we see a pattern of leaves which add to the garden atmosphere of the show.

An off-the-shoulder dress with embellishments on the ends of the sleeves. This was a common theme of the show, to have jewels and embellishments on pockets, shoulders and the ends of sleeves.

Another example of the detail on the "pocket" area as well as a layer of sheer lace on the end of the dress.

More lace on the end of dresses, this time we see the design on a shiny, emerald fabric that falls off the model's body.

This dress is very regal as the combination of green and gold connotes, the gold detailing on the top part also resembles gold applique.

This golden outfit glitters down the runway, a tunic with 3/4 trousers again, the shimmering gold top seems to be a staple piece in many of the S/S collections this year.

The closing look, a shimmering, floor-length dress with a V-shaped neckline. Again, the sheerness appears on the bottom of the dress for a sexy, yet less revealing look.

Victoria Beckham S/S 2013

I'm not the biggest fan of this collection, simply because I didn't see any show-stopping looks but what was quite interesting was to see was the transition from skin-tight dresses to more seperates, trousers and even flats!

Lots of clean, white, airy blouses were seen on this catwalk as well as the contrast between white and dark orange.

At least there's a few slinky dresses to look forward to, the sheer insert makes this dress.

This is a great work look, I love the idea of a non-buttoned, short blazer with two pops of colour, the belt polishes the look and I think Beckham has found what women are looking for when it comes to fashionable work-wear.

A$AP Rocky & Diplo star in Alexander Wang commercial

Alexander Wang's RTW Fall 2012 commerical has aired and it features one of my favourite rappers, A$AP Rocky and producer Diplo.

I love what Wang has been doing recently, I think he's one of those designers that you can always count on to deliver modern styles and carry out "street" looks with perfection.

Michael Kors S/S 2013- Clean & Simple

Colour blocking, geometric cuts and simplicity.

The Michael Kors S/S 2013 collection was quite minimalist as expected. The designer described the collection as having "geometric glamour" and I completely agree.

The show started with simple, long-sleeve tops with horizontal lines for both men and women.

Rounded, rectangular belts were seen on coats throughout the collection. the coats and the bags were definitely the focus of the show as Kors teaches us how to do jackets throughout the summer.

As you can see, the small satchel bags have metal panels on the side which is quite unique. There's no detailing on the front but rather on the side, to maintain the simplicity perhaps?

The look below is really cute and perfect for S/S evening-wear. Thin, metal belts are everywhere...

Lovely A-line, pleated skirt with a sheen and a short-sleeved blouse with gold button details, accompanied by a white satchel, a white belt and white shoes.

Towards the end, there were a couple of black dresses which were quite nice to finish off the collection with as you can really see the geometric theme with the cuts around the hem on the first and the neckline on the second.

Oscar de la Renta S/S 2013

Oscar de la Renta's highly anticipated S/S 2013 collection has hit the NYC runway.

Admittedly, when I saw the first few outfits, I wasn't sure whether I would see the same works of art this designer can produce time after time, it worried me slightly. However, the show definitely reached its peak during the mid-point and onwards.

At the begining, we saw many workplace looks as pencil skirts and suits were apparent and I must say, I was particularly taken by the white blazer and trouser with a plunging neckline.

The theme of crochet lace was evident afterwards with its appearance on jackets and tops paired with pencil skirts. As we saw this, the colours popped out of nowhere, lots of yellows and bright pinks, very summery.

Romantic and elegant are words that came to mind by this point of the show.

We saw flashes of statement jewellery with large, black floral necklaces and earrings.

Then, I saw Oscar de la Renta shine as it should. We saw pastel blue dresses with crystal bow belts that screamed "girly" and a gorgeous jacket with fabric roses all over combined with a structured skirt.

I couldn't take my eyes off the black gown which glittered down the runway as the detail on it was exquisite.

Then we had the shimmering silver tops and skirts accentuated with a metallic waist-cinching belt and a small clutch.

The strapless, floor-length dress was probably one of the best looks of the night, in my opinion, the look is simple, the belt is simple but it's SO elegant and it would make anyone look like a million dollars with the way the dress trailed off at the back.

In hot pink and baby pink, I loved these two playsuits, especially the peplum detail on the pastel pink one.

Overall, I think de la Renta did a wonderful job with this collection. The colour scheme worked nicely together, the looks were sophisticated, sexy and elegant, and you weren't able to undermine the femininity of the looks which show off the female figure.

Zac Posen S/S 2013- Gowns to die for

Zac Posen. Master of dresses? I think so.

This S/S 2013 show was beyond beautiful, with the focus on gowns and some shorter looks.

Naomi Campbell modelling a knee-length, floral dress. Very 1940s.

A rich shade of fuchsia seen on a peplum jacket and mid-length lace skirt.

A simple but sophisticated ballgown-style dress. Notice the detail on the mid-section of the dress, love the subtlety.

I think the top part of this look is absolutely gorgeous, the sweetheart neckline and the net frills really define this bustier. I think the trousers are a nice break from the dresses but perhaps if they were slightly less loose, the outfit would be a bit more fluent?

What to say about this dress, it screams Oscars! I adore how this dress is so bodycon until the trail where it flows off the runway.

Now this is a killer closing dress. Coco Rocha models this extravagent wedding-style gown which has a plunging corset and three layers of gorgeous white fabric which plummet down the model's tiny figure.

I think it's safe to say Zac Posen outdid himself with this RTW collection.
