John Galliano's return!

As everyone knows, it wouldn't be wrong to say that John Galliano has been shunned from the fashion industry after making anti-Semitic and racist comments last year: http://www.therebirthoffashion.net/2012/08/john-gallianos-honour-removed.html

Shockingly, however, Oscar de la Renta has reached out to Galliano to help with his Fall collection. Interesting. Some would argue this is an outrage and some would argue that he deserves a second chance. Personally, I don't think anyone can deny his talent.

In comments to Women's Wear Daily, Galliano said: "I am an alcoholic. I have been in recovery for the past two years. Several years prior to my sobriety, I descended into the madness of the disease. I said and did things which hurt others, especially members of the Jewish community. I have expressed my sorrow privately and publicly for the pain which I caused, and I continue to do so. I remain committed to making amends to those I have hurt."

As long as he's admitting he was wrong, needs help and is working on it, maybe this is the best thing for him rather than being an outcast and never being able to accomplish his talents.
